Hi,
This is a baptism record for Francesca Cardosi, baptised 5 August 1730.
I know that it says her father is Giuseppe Cardosi and that his father is Pietro Cardosi.
Where these records normally give the mother's name, it seems to suggest something about a hosptial, perhaps the hospital in Lucca, Tuscany? Or am I reading that wrong? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Michael

Bartolomea is the mother's name (and, obviously, she was Giuseppe's wife). It seems that Bartolomea was from the hospital of Lucca: I think it could mean she was a foundling, but I'm not sure 100%.
