Well..Anthony didn't ever want to be found so apparently he did a great job of hiding from the authorities. I was told by my grandfather's brother, so Anthony's great Uncle..he beat up a cop in a bar fight back in CT which is why he went out west under a different name. Sketchy!

Well that was my assumption as well. Why else would he leave CT and go to MN/ILL after his run in with the law? He had no money and no job to speak of, well he was a barber by trade..but you never hear of people just picking up and going somewhere where they don't have relations some how, especially in that time. It's not like he was on a Conestoga wagon and blazing his way westward during the big land rush..

I've made several cousin connections using ancestry.com. With many of them we will simply exchange an email here and there on ancestry.com and compare some notes. I find that most people go to ancestry.com mainly to have a DNA test, an aren't that interested in building a family tree, making connect...
