My grandfather came over from Northern Italy via Ellis Island around the turn of the last century. His name was either Thomas Anthony Or Anthony (Antonio) Thomas Pondiscio.
They lived in Southern Pines, North Carolina in the 1920s and moved to Mt. Holly, New Jersey in the late 1930s or so.
