Searching for ancestors of Giuseppe Lapetina

Post by Albany1 »

My great grandfather, Giuseppe Lapetina, was born in Tramutola, potenza in 1850. I am trying to locate any siblings or family members still living in Italy. He married Angela Bisaccia in San Mauro Forte, had 5 children, became an American citizen and after returning home to get his family, died before he could go back to the US. His widow and 5 children all emigrated to the US. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to www.paginebianche.it and insert Lapetina in the first line and inthe second line first put in San Mauro Forte and click CERCA and one persons Dr. Michele Lapetina is listed as residing in TRICARICO, (Prov. Matera).

Nest go back and put in Tramultola and click CEFCA and 10 persons with the Lapetina surname will show up. The listings all have fulll names, addrssses and telephone numbers and most likely all of them are related to you.

If you wish to contact any or all of these people I would write one Potential relative letter which can be found in www.mangeruca.com and send a letter to each and enclose a self addressed envelope with 1 or 2 dollars for stamps to encourage a reply. =Peter=
