It doesn't look like you're question was answered but I could have missed it in all this great information. The original name is definitely Gagliardi (I have several in my family) but sometimes names got changed for one reason or another when people immigrated to other countries. More than likely this happened here. Or of course it was a misspelling.

Hope this helps and I apologize if I have answered a question that was already answered earlier.

By the way..did anyone ever find the ship manifest for Gaetano or Ida? I again, don't recall seeing it (old age is kicking in I'm afraid).

Hello Biff :D !

Looks like you've found lots of Giustizia cousins!
I really enjoyed the history of the family.
I tried to open the tree, but it was too much for my computer
(it may have to be downloaded)

I didn't have much success with the Gagliardi/Gagliardo/Gaglairdo family.

I found one possible Gaetano in 1900 in Brooklyn, but couldn't connect him in 1910.

Another problem I found was that there was another John Gagliardi living in Brooklyn, born in Oct 1891, but he's married to a 'Nellie'.

No doubt we'll find his family since he was born in Brooklyn, sorting out the other Gagliardi families is a bit of a challenge.
