Please Help Maternal Great Grandpa... Sorry

I am sorry to post this but have been researching for the past week and at the beginning I though I had an easy case, but after looking into it more I have become very confused and help would be greatly appreciated...
I am looking to claim my citizenship through my Mothers Grandfather or Grandmother both were born in Italy and then came to the states after getting married(1914). They had my Grandmother(mum's mum) Here in 1915. My mum was born in 1950 which is after the date in the information I found...

5) Your paternal or maternal grandfather was born in the United States, your paternal great grandfather was an Italian citizen at the time of his birth, neither you nor your father nor your grandfather ever renounced your right to Italian citizenship. (Please note: a grandmother born before 01/01/1948 can claim Italian citizenship only from her father and can transfer it only to children born after 01/01/1948. But it states that the citizenship can only be transferred to "children" this is where I am really confused does this mean that my mother is eligible but I am not?? Your grandmother obtained citizenship through her Italian father (not her mother, because women could not pass citizenship before 1948). Your mother obtained citizenship from her Italian mother. You obtain citizenship from YOUR Italian mother. In each case, citizenship is passed from parent to child, generation to generation.

You do indeed qualify.
