No problem.....but there is another manifest to be found. Sometime around 1921 Carolina and sons immigrated to the USA.

Can you tell us what you do have in way of records? That way we don't duplicate records already seen and provide you with some further solid leads.

P.s. Harley or Riceburner....

Great work Biff!!
So we've identified two of Carolina's brothers and her father!!

Any luck on Frank's (Domenico) manifest?

I highly doubt we would find anything on Domenico (Frank). Family folklore says he entered the US illegally after fleeing Italy to avoid being prosecuted for murder. Yes, the unfortunate dark side of Italian heritage. In the US, he was also involved in criminal activity.

Hi, I have some Tavone info, I just need to dig it out. I will get back to you. Giovanni married into our family to Anna Maria Maucieri and it was in Italy so I will see what I can find in the records I have.
But you might be interested in checking out this new website
www.echomolise.org It has a focus on geneology for Bonefro and MOlise and there are some very informed people on the board along with some info on Bonefro you might enjoy.

I will check what I have andget back to you asap.

littleapple wrote:I need some help finding cenus info for Anna Maria Maucieri and Giovanni Tavone, Biff and Valerie have helped me to find the ship manifest but it doesn't match the info I have about Anna Maria, she has at least 6 children and one she adopted.

The names I have include Domenico, Joe, Matteo, Carolina, Lucia, Mike and then they adopted Amadeo Pacci. they lived in Rhode Island. If anyone has access to the censu records for that area can you see if there is any listing and let me know so I can figure out dates of birth for the kids. the dates I have are listed below:

Domencio @ 1900 (moved then to California)
Matteo 1903 or 1904
Mike?
Joe?
Lucia 1910 married Mike Carbone
Carolina 1911/or 1912 married Bill Coletti
Amedeo Pacci married Clementina Pacci

Thank you in advance for any help you can help.
Melina
Where did they come from in Italy? There are some Tavone's and some MANCIERI from Casacalenda. Tavone an Mancieri both come from Bonefro originally, but some found in Casacalenda.

Sometimes an 'n' is read as a 'u' in the transcriptions: Maucieri-Mancieri.

My family is from Bonefro. I know that there are a lot of Tavones who migrated to RI from Bonefro. Unfortunately, I am unable to make the connection, although I am sure were are somehow related. My great-grandfather's name was Domenico, but he is not the Domenico found in the records that are available on the internet. I do not believe ever lived in Rhode Island, Louisiana or California.
