I've many informations! I know Giuseppe Marzano arrived in Ellis Island on 23rd October 1920, Pietro Stefanelli on 25th novembre 1919, Antonio Stefanelli on 15th april 1921. I know Pietro had a scar on the front, meanwhile Giuseppe on the nose. I took these informations on Ellisisland.com, but I want to know more and where my relatives live today.

Based on the manifest of 1920, Giuseppe had been in the US previously in
1914 - 1915.
On this second manifest he is joining his Uncle Pietro Marzano in Chicago Illinois. Place of birth is Gerace, Reggio Calabria. Born about 1895.

Wldspirit thank you a lot! I didn't know the date of birth. How did yoi do to find those informations??
But the real mistery of my family is Giuseppe Marzano's death. He left in Italy a wife pregnant for 8 months. One or two months after his arrival in USA, he dead. But why? Is there a death certificate? Nowadays we don't know. It's a mistery. I'd love to know the truth.
My aunt, who now is dead, told to my father that Giuseppe Marzano is buried in a cemetery called Monte Carmelo and she knew that it's near an hospital. I tried to find that on Internet, but it seems this cemetery doesn't exist. Maybe it changed name! I'm so sad for that... Maybe I'll never know the truth

It includes a picture on the headstone, and something of his Uncle Pietro.
But the reading is hard on the eyes....

On the headstone its written:

The dates are written on the link where all Marzano are listed.

Sulla tomba la scritta è in italiano, le date sono un po' confuse ma sono scritte chiaramente dove c'è la lista dei Marzano sepolti in quel cimitero.

The dates of birth and death are listed in the index, but the writing on the headstone "suo" was harder to make out....


Also, it is possible Pietro Stefanelli made another trip in 1925, leaving wife Peppina in Italy, once again going to Chicago:

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT! Wldspirit, you've just found my great-grandfather!!!!
I compared the photo in website with the photo I have, and.. he's the same person! I'm very touched, it's a great joy for all my family! Thanks to everyone who partecipated to my search!!!

..but the mistery isn't revealed! The cause of Giuseppe Marzano's death isn't clear. There are two different versions. So, could you look for a death certificate? I'd love to know why Giuseppe is dead.

But Marzano family's misteries don't end... Do you remember when I talked about Michele Talarico? He was my grandma's father. Between '30s and '40s, his only male child dead. He was very sad, so left his family and went to USA. My family doesn't know if he got married again or if he had other children. Obviously, now he's dead.

Could you look for Pietro Stefanelli's and Michele Talarico's headstones?

you know the birthyear of Michele Talarico? also coming from Gerace Marina?
