As I pointed out on the other thread the actual name of Francesco Crecco arrived on April 2, 1911 is Francesco Crecca, coming from Ruvo del Monte.

Italian research depends on having some good information to begin. You have posted two manifests that are obviously different families. One from Ripi, Frosinone the other from Ruvo del Monte.
To help you we need to know what you know for sure. Do you have US records showing a town of origin? Naturalization papers, a marriage certificate, US census information.

Thank you so very much Valerie and Italysearcher! My mother is amazed at all the info! She just missed being on the 1930 census (haha) Info is almost 100 % correct except spellings.

This indeed is my family of Frank Greggo and Victoria Carbone and all the relatives and friends at 500 Adams street with the Sinatras nearby.

Is there any early Census info on my great grandfather Pietro Crecco from above info (it may not be the right man, we are not sure if he even came over to the USA and returned to Italy)!

I hope my mother has Ellis manifest info for her father Frank Greggo because I can not locate him on the Ellis site or his military records.
She is sending me his birth certificate.

My grandfather Frank went to Italy in the 70s so there are relatives somewhere from one of is sisters Teresa or Katerina. (unknown now) He gave his land to his nephew Augusto's mother (unknown but Crecco).

Thank you again!

Hello Jay!
I'm so glad we could find some records for you.
No luck on a census for Pietro Crecco, but his name could be mis-spelled...
We hope your mother has her father's ship manifest (or naturalization documents) - we can't find his ship either.
Is it his birth certificate with the spelling 'CRECCO"?
And thank you for clarifying the Chetriello surname, that was a tough one to noodle out.
Once we can figure out the original town (it will be on the birth certificate), finding your records and current relatives in Italy will be much easier!

I have a Vittoria Cabone in my family also. She brought my great uncle Matteo DiLella from Rodi Garganico. Her parents were Domenico Carbone and Maria Raffaela Fanelli.

Libera Carbone (Lena Venezia) was my great-grandmother, and her sister is Vittoria Carbone! I have Libera's birth certificate, and she was born in Rodi Garganico, so her sisters would have been born there, too, I imagine. She is one of many, 10 or 11, I believe, the youngest of whom is still living in NJ.

Please contact me tetsujin - would love to chat, as we are very distant cousins!
