If Parma is the Province and you go to www.paginebianche.it and insert Lamberti in the first line and PR for the Province of Parma there will appear 15 persons surnamed Lam,berti whom you may wish to contact with one letter to all 15 in siumple english sending them an self addressed envelope and money for stamps and ask them if they know her. Since you have her date of birth and if you know ehere she was born then write to the Ufficio di Stato Civile in the town of origin. Perhaps grandftaher also came from same town of origin? Peter

If you are certain that he remained in the UK, there are several reasons why he may not appear on the census listings under his surname - one being that a lot of the returns were lost in a fire in London and the other is that many Italian names were anglised or mis-spelled on the returns so try searching using variations like Botazzi/Bottazzi/Botazi,Bofazzi etc.

Are you a member of Anglo Italian Family History Society? They are very helpful and might have found some census information.

I too have a Lamberti in my tree - Francesca Lambeti wife of Luigi Antonio Peverelli, mother of Giovanni Antonio Peverelli who married my great grandfathers sister Maria Bacciarelli in 1880 Gera, Lombardy. No idea where Francesca was born or her ancestry though.
