CAMERONI, MAGLIANI IN MILAN

I am looking for any information about my ggrandparents Carlo and Maria Cameroni AND Angelo and Maria Magliani. They came from Milan or around that area. I have VERY little information about them. I do have dates of birth and possible dates of emigration. One interesting thing is that my grandfather Angelo Magliani's name was changed when he entered the US. He was then know as Michael Angelo. While THAT is interesting, it also makes it MORE difficult to trace him! Anyone have any ideas??

In Italy all records are in the town of orign so without a town your next best bet is to find it in the ellisisland.org website =upon their arrival in the uSA. You do not say what you know only that you know so I cannot help you by reinventing the wheel. Get back with all the particulars or if you know the town go to www.paginebainche.it to look for relatives in the town of origin and go to the nearest Mormon family history library and look up the micorfilm of civil records for the town of origin if any exists in Northern Italy since civil records are spotty and are only consistent in southern Italy. Just to hjelp out. There are 24 towns in the province of Milano with people (73 of them) having the surname Cameroni and (8) persons in 3 city and towns. If you go to www.paginebianche.it and put in the surname (olne at a time please) annd then the initials MI you will find the listing. For Cameroni go to the bottom and click where it says "persone to give you the precise 24 towns for the surname Cameroni but for Magliani they are all isted with 5 in the City of Milano and three others in two other towns in the province of Milano.
