New member from Sicily!

Post by Marcello_DAleo »

Hi, everybody!

First of all, sorry if my English is not perfect.

My name is Marcello D'Aleo, 40 years old and I live in Bagheria in the province of Palermo. Since the age of 13 years, I have a passion for genealogy, so I have done my job.

In fact in 1987 I founded the Centro Meridionale Ricerche Genealogiche and I am researcher for some genealogical institutes in Italy and abroad.

I have carried out about 300 searches in Sicily and other regions of Southern Italy.

I hope I can be of help to those who share my passion.

Regards

Marcello D'Aleo

Welcome Marcello
That is very kind of you offering to help others. The more poeple who can give help to others can only be a good thing.
I know what it can be like when you come up against a 'brick wall' and me personally will be forever grateful to all the people on this forum who gave lots of help to me in the past. :D

Welcome Marcello to IG,
we need people like you...

Benvenuto Marcello

Vincenzo
I'm searching lost relatives and descendant of my greatgrandfather Vincenzo Genualdi (or Gennaldi or Genuardi) and my greatgrandmother Concetta Davola (their sons: Angela, Carmela, Antonio, Bartolomeo, Ernesto, Simone, Riccardo, Maria) went in Chicago,Ill., and New Orleans, in 1880-1920 from Sicily. Other family related : Jacobucci or Jacopucci (from Central Italy).

=Peter=

Marcello
Welcome. I am hoping you can be of some help in my research. I am researching my husband's ancestors from Sicily. It would be wonderful to find some living relatives in Sicily or elsewhere who could fill in the blanks and provide more information. I have some but its never enough as you surely know. :-)
The names of the following were from Sicily I believe and came to the U.S.
Basilio SIMONE b: 10 May 1881 d: 14 May 1947
wife: Basilia IRO b: 2 Nov 1888 d: 2 Feb 1952
Basilio's parents are: Giatono SIMONE and Nunzio
Basilia's parents are: Antonio IRO and Concetta SCORZA
Hope to hear from you.
Thank you!
