Hudson Crash

I just finished reading the above referenced article from the Wall STreet Journal, regarding the crash last week of a helicopter and small airplane above the Hudson River in New York City.

Truly an event of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The families that lost loved ones are certainly still in shock, disbelief. Towards the end of the article, the families of the deceased Italian passengers stated that they were thankful that the tragedy took place in New York. They were treated with kindness, dignity and grace.

For all of us who are researching our family history, I am sure we have all wondered, at least a few times, why our ancestors departed the homeland to come to the USA. The sorrowful, mourning families of this tragedy seem to answer that question.

Thank you for posting this. I would have missed it otherwise.
It's very thoughtful writing and so refreshing to know the response of the families.
