Well if you look at your message, it does look like you are cursing me out. People on the web are reading it just like I am and that you are cursing me out.
However, you meant "Ad Hominem" and here is a link about that term.

You are the one that has been ATTACKING me since I got here. You attack me and every genealogist that comes on this website, and yet, YOU actually recommend this one particular genealogist to use for research. I don't understand! Are you fond of this one genealogist. Are you in cahoots with this person? And you attack everyone else especially me, however, I guess I'm the only one that stood up to you.
And Peter, guess what? You can say all you want about me. I'm tired of your babish acts. I'll still be here posting messages and giving people the correct information on how to do their research.
Like I said before, you try to Smile for me!:)

Thank you both for your information. I already belong to Ancestory.com and have found the info on my family in the US. This is really an intersting and inmformative site

Re: Surname CAVALCANTE
Toothfairy,
You are a direct cousin of me. I am in Alexandria VA though, not Italy. My father was Alfred E Jr. I grew up in Uniontown PA. Would be nice to know which cousin you are. I am also interested in learning about our family history.

Re: Surname CAVALCANTE
Hi:
I don't know if you still check this website or not, but after reading your information and relaying it to my Aunt (last name Cavalcante), I think we are related. My mom (passed away) is the daughter of Ralph Cavalcante (his brothers were Michael and Alfred in Nusco, Itlay). My mom's name was Marie Cavalcante. I have (had) a lot of Aunts/Uncles, but all are passed away, except for one Aunt (Aunt Millie who is 90). I read her your info, and she agrees that your Great Grandfather was her father's brother.
Anyway, I live (now) in Florida originally from Pennsylvania. My name is "Carmella" (named after my Grandmother). Ralph's wife.
If you get this E-mail, please respond -- would like to hear from you.
Regards,
CARMELLA

Here is some information on your family:
Amato Michele Cavalcante was born in 1874, married to Antonia Teta. The two children I see of theirs are Giuseppe born in 1894 and Gaetano in 1897. Amato Michele is the son of Vincenzo and Eufrasia D'Onofrio. They were married in 1864. Vincenzo is the son of Angelo and Vincenza Contino. They were married in 1831. Angelo is the son of Vincenzo (died 1829) and Orsola Russo. Vincenzo is the son of Francesco and Orsola Biancaniello. That takes your family into the late 1700's. If you want anything else, please e-mail me at say5@earthlink.net. I may be able to refer you to someone who can help you on the Teta (Tate) side.
