Why are you getting YOUR Italian citizenship?
Re: Why are you getting YOUR Italian citizenship?
Happy to return to the original question. I am reacquiring my Italian citizenship because I want to live and work in Italy...that simple. I want the pace and sensual pleasures of Italy in my everyday life. I want to reconnect with family and enjoy my daily existence there instead of here...for now.

Re: Why are you getting YOUR Italian citizenship?
1. my girlfriend recently documented her dual citizenship with Malta, which I could not allow to go unchallenged.
2. tighten the bond with my ancestral land.
3. shorter lines when arriving in Europe.
4. possibility of a short term job in Europe, although this is likely just a pipe dream.
5. go through the process and document it to assist others in my family who might want to do the same in the future.
6. it was easy, as I knew all the relevant family history, and exactly where to locate the relevant records.
7. possibility of an extended stay in Europe.
