Re: Angrisano-Shano Family
I can't find immigration info on ancestry and I have a subscription. Can anyone find the following obituaries?: William Baron Shano Sr. He died in S. Louisiana, my mom said something about an accident with a city ambulance. His date of death was 10-14-1955. , his wife Rosalie Angrisano Shano d: 12-28-1985, her parents, Mike Angrisano (I found an Ellis Island passenger manifest w/ Michele Angrisano, and that MIGHT be him) d:5-17-1957, and his wife Angelina Mandina b:1888 I do not have a date of death for her. THANKS for all of the help!

Re: Angrisano-Shano Family
Angelena Maniba died December 31 -1940 obit is in the Times Picayune 1-2-1941
Michael Angrisano obit is on the 5-8-1957 Times Picayune he died 5-7-1957
I just started looking at this family as a family member of mine is a descendant of Frances Angrisano Cortez.
Would love to know more on the Italy side.

Re: Angrisano-Shano Family
Can you be sure of the spelling "Angelena Maniba"? I was told it's Mandina also I noticed the link of the tomb you included, somewhere down the line the family is related to the Saluto family as well.Darnellbrunner wrote:Angelena Maniba died December 31 -1940 obit is in the Times Picayune 1-2-1941

I spoke to my grandmother over the weekend and she gave me some tidbits, but it's neither here nor there. She suffered a stroke 6 years ago and has has trouble with her speech ever since. I'm trying to make plans to get everyone together (all of my great aunts & uncles) for dinner to get what I can out of them.
My grandmother said that Grandma Angrisano died around New Years. IDK if it was from child birth or what (it's like plaing cherades sometimes), but basically they got her to the doctor, they gave her medicine and then she died. She also said something about another woman, and I'm nt sure if there was another marriage or just shacking up or if there were any children from that pairing.
Send me a message off list if you want to try and work together via email.

Re: Angrisano-Shano Family
The name "Barbara" came up the other day with my grandmother but I really am not sure. She did say that Joseph B. Shano was 5 when William B. Shano married Rosalie Angrisano. And that Mike Angrisano introduced his daughter, Rosalie Angrisano to William Shano, Sr.
