I think I understand. Rosalia Musso and Pasquale Guddemi were my great grandparents making Margherita and Vito Guddemi my great-great grandparents. I had never heard of them before.

I hadn't until I browsed around Cynthia's family tree long enough. She's gotten so much headway on it, it's amazing. I can't imagine I'll get much further than she has without writing the town our ancestors are from-which I might when my Italian gets better!

Cynthia sent me all the information she had at the time. I loved the powerpoint presentation she did. I was able to give her all the information related to the children and grand children of Vito and Liboria Guddemi.
How did you wind up in Louisiana? Is that where you grew up?

Hi!

Help on how to locate records in Italy would be amazing! That's most of my problem with Francesco-he never immigrated from Burgio.

Girolamo was born in Burgio in 1882, and his mother Vita was born in 1854. I have no dates for Francesco.

Vito, Margherita, and Pasquale have no dates either-it's part of the reason I'm having such a rough time with this.

Any help is appreciated more than you know!

Thanks Katie. I will add this to my tree. Vita would be my great-grandfathers sister. Therefore her parents, Girolamo and Domenica are my great-great grandparents. Wow!
I grew up in Chicago and in 1979 my wife and family relocated to Largo, FLorida which is a suburb of St. Petersburg. We couldn't take the cold weather! I have two sons Mike is 30 and Scott is 40. What is your mom and dad's name?

I think we might be cousins of some sort. My great grandmother is Dominica Guddemi, later Dominica Anzelmo. My grandmother is Margret one of the 10 children of Dominica.
