Hello Marty

His death record does not give his place of birth as this was not included on these records until about 1959 and he died in 1928. I hadn't thought about his marriage record in St Thomas Church in Canterbury, where he was married. I'll do that as soon as possible.

I found a list of what is contained in the Italian State Archives on this website: http://www.guidageneralearchivistato.beniculturali.it/

According to them, Frosinone holds the following records:
Military District of Frosinone
Level of description: bottom
Consistency: regg. 229
Chronological: (classes 1877-1908)

So I can't understand why they say they only have records from 1923 to 1936!

I would try the church they might have some info on what church he was baptized in Italy in the Church marriage record. Also there might be a church death record also.
I would leave a private message for Ann (italysearcher) she is from Frosinone area she would know what the scoop with the military records.

Thank you Marty. I have emailed St Thomas Church to ask for their help.

I will also contact Ann.

Many thanks.

I have just heard back from St Thomas Church - they said that marriage paperwork was only saved from the 1960's onwards!

Oh dear, I'll have to keep on trying!!

I contacted Ann (Italysearcher) and she has found Francesco and his family in the census records for Villa Latina!!! Nine years of searching finally over!

Marty - thank you so much for all your help with this, I would still be searching without your valuable suggestions.

I will now be able to set up a family tree.
