Petrarca, if you contacted the Sindaco several months ago without a reply, than it would not hurt to send another email, as it doesnt cost anything. it is always possible that the email was sent to a "junk folder" or deleted by accident.
If you do send another email, consider putting in the "subject line":

Just a thought. trying to be of help. It is a small town of about 1500 people, and their hours of operation are limited.
If this doesnt work, you can always refer to a source like the one I mentioned, to obtain the record for you, but as a last resort.
In the meantime, I am curious if you are "certain" that your information is correct, as they will ignore your request if anything is wrong with the name, date, etc.
