Erudita,
I'm finding that often in the indices of the marriage records, the groom's full name is listed and the bride's given name only. That's enough information to find the appropriate record, and then the bride's maiden name and the names of her parents are given in the record itself.
I've been busy today. I just realized many of the volumes I've been searching on microfilm at the FHC are now online. When I get going with something, I jump right in. I need to slow down a bit or else I'm going to burn out make mistakes and lose interest. It is convenient having so much information available online though!
I've found a lot of records since I started less than a year ago. And I couldn't have gotten where I am without your help. But the thing about genealogy is that the more you discover the more you have to research.
I have many dead-ends. Maybe ancestors baptized and married in different comunes. I'm just following the leads I've got no matter which line they take me along.
Thanks again!
