The second marriage is written in the note at the top of the right page of the image of Carmela's birth.

https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 31/wjd3Zkv

Marriage No 142: Francesco Paolo Cessari and Carmela della Bruna
Avellino: 17 November 1877

Groom: Francesco Paolo Cessari, unmarried, 19 yo, possidente (landowner), born in Aquila Abruzzi, residing in Avellino, son of the deceased Nicola, who resided in Avellino when living, and of the deceased Adelaide Mancine, who resided in Aquila when living.

Bride: Carmela della Bruna, vedova (widow), 34 yo, donna di casa (housewife/domestic) born in Capriglia, residing in Avellino, daughter of the deceased Modestino and of the deceased Carolina Evangelista, who both resided in Capriglia when living.

At the base of the record it states that the marriage banns were posted on 23 and 30 September, last, and that the above marriage had received the consent of the Family Council for the groom to marry. (This would be because he was a minor and both parents were deceased)

Christine, following on from my previous post here, I suspected that you were unable to locate Modestino’s death record in Cipriglia, so I decided to check for children born after their daughter Carmela’s 1843 birth. The first one I came across was the following 1846 birth record for another daughter, Franstina, and I noticed that Modestino had died already, before her birth. I checked death records and diversi in Capriglia, couldn’t locate, and figured he must have died elsewhere. Anyways, I decided to search for Modestino and Carolina’s marriage record, so that it would take you back further. I noted from it that he was born and living in Avellino (which I suspected anyway) and located his death record there. Here are the two additional records I located:

1846 Birth No 25 – Franstina/(Franzina?) della Bruna
Registered 14 August 1846
Appearing was D. Alfonza Palumbo, 26 yo?, landowner, living in said town, who presented a baby girl born from Carolina Evangelista, wife of the deceased D. Modestino della Bruno on 14 August 1846 at 12 noon in their own home. The baby was given the name Franstina. She was baptised in the parish of Capriglia on the same day.

Marriage No 14: Modestino della Bruna and Carolina Evangelista

Married Capriglia: 8 November 1828, Parish of Capriglia

Groom: Modestino della Bruna, 19 yo, born in Avellino, Scribente (Scribe), living in Avellino, Strada Carmina?, son of Giuseppe della Bruna, proprietario (landowner), living in Strada Carmina?, and of Angela Lenguito, living therein.

Bride: Carolina Evangelista, 27 yo, born in Capriglia, living in said town, daughter of Luigi Evangelista, a proprietario, and of Marianna Manfredi, both living in said town.

Hi Angela, wow did I get that wrong! Thanks so much for finding those records for me!

I was wondering about the Don And Donna that they put before their names. Are those titles like sir and Mrs?
