Erudita or anyone else for translation
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... ew&lang=en

needs translation please!!
could this possibly be THE Fidelis???

as i see Iacono and ignatzia but i don't see vincentii
and date is April 23 1782 which if he was age 84 at death that would make birth approx 1799.
Thanks

please translate this as well as date of january 1782 can't be correct as this is fidelis's sister Anna marie and they would be only 4 months apart.

Thanks!

The date of this record is April 26, not 23, 1782.

This Fidelis was born this morning to Ignazio Stabile and Maria Iacono in Bisacquino. I’ve seen this family in those records before. Perhaps two brothers married two sisters, but you’d have to find their marriage record to be certain. The parents are not Vincenzo Stabile and Rosa Iacono.

Anna Maria Stabile Jan 18, 1782 in Campofiorito. It’s the same date as the last record on the left page. There the second number looks to me like the number 8. Here it looks more like a 6, so I’m not 100% sure. Parents Vincenzo Stabile and Rosa lo Iacono.

As to Gaspare Fidelis, his birth in Campofiorito was Sept 10, 1783 not 1782. That’s clear in one of my posts above which is in red.

Linda

The Ignazio Stabile who married Maria Iacono

Their marriage took place in Bisacquino. April 3, 1780. Image 67 of 362. Folio 193. In the index, and in the margin of the record, the wrong name of the bride appears. It says Filippa Miranna. Filippa was the groom’s mother and not the bride. His father was Gaspare Stabile. The bride was Maria Iacono. Her father was deceased Gaspare Iacono. Her mother Anna Metrocine?. Not sure of the spelling of her mother’s surname.

Thanks, Linda. Blessings to you and your family too. I saw on your tree on family search that some of your ancestors were in NOLA. Hubby and I were there years ago, after Katrina hit there. Will never forget the devastation in the 9th Ward, the first thing we witnessed when we drove there, I think a few years after the hurricane hit there.

Anyway, Happy Easter to you and your family. Younger son and his wife are hosting this year.

Hello Erudita,
Yes that is where I have lived all my life
If ever you visit again you are welcome to stay at my place!
restoration from Katrina is still going on. Some I fear will not revive in my lifetime
Best,
Linda
