I'm gonna put this out there just in case it helps.

Teresa Generazzo(married) arrived On 5/22/1894 (on 'Kaiser Wilhelm II) at the age of 22.
She was traveling with Antonio Generazzo - age 23 (brother?)

Antonio Generazzo (age 29) (2nd trip) arrived 4/19/1900 (on Neustria) Going to meet his brother-in law Giuseppe Dorio? at 147 Water street

It states Antonio's last residence as Campanarello.

Angelina
Buona Sera.

I've been trying to think of possible scenarios like this, but I haven't considered this one.

Where did you find this?:
"Antonio Generazzo (age 29) (2nd trip) arrived 4/19/1900 (on Neustria) Going to meet his brother-in law Giuseppe Dorio? at 147 Water street "

Also, 4/19/1900 is just slightly before the time that baby Vincent (Vincenzo) would have returned to Italia... presumably with his mother and father, if his father was even in the US for the birth!

New York Passenger Lists, 1820-1957
about Giuseppe Doino
Name: Giuseppe Doino
Arrival Date: 22 May 1894
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1856
Age: 38
Gender: Male
Port of Departure: Genoa, Italy
Ethnicity/Race-
/Nationality: Italian
Ship Name: Kaiser Wilhelm II
Search Ship Database: Search the Kaiser Wilhelm II in the 'Passenger Ships and Images' database
Port of Arrival: New York, New York
Line: 29
Microfilm Serial: M237
Microfilm Roll: M237_627
Page Number: F

The only thing that strikes me odd here is the age..although it is very possible a 38 year marry a 23 year old.

Ang..will look for something to tie Antonio to a census too.

Hi Nuccia

Not surprised to find a 38 yr old married to 23 yr old, but usually a second marriage in the records I've extracted. Lotta work to do on this one yet.

And this is also interesting...

U.S. Passport Applications, 1795-1925
about Giuseppe Doino
Name: Giuseppe Doino
Birth Date: 11 Feb 1856
Birth Place: Bellamura, Italy
Residence: NY City, NY
Passport Issue Date: 16 Feb 1894
Passport Includes a Photo: N
Source: Passport Applications, 1795-1905 (M1372)

Think he went back to Italy to get Teresa and returned in May?

This is just speculation so don't get your hopes high. Something still doesn't make sense here so I am really not convinced this is your Giuseppe yet at all. And I totally agree about it being a possible second marriage if it is him..for both.

I have heard that Carmine Giuseppe Angelo Diorio was sometimes known as "Giuseppe", but yes, I can't get my hopes up too much, because it is baffling.

Thank you all so much for trying to help me. I am overjoyed with the fact that people are so willing to help.

Well..I have to go and finish cooking before my husband starts looking for another wife. I'll look some more later this evening and see if I can find that record again.

Ciao for now!

well, maybe this is your VINCENZO DI IORIO born the 1/1/1899 in New York in a trip back in USA:
trip of 1925 > October > 25 > Conte Rosso
http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/4898/vincenzohy6.jpg
in travel with Teresa DE MARINIS born in New York 10 sept 1902 and with Maria PARRAZZO age 71, I believe mother of Teresa... as you can read the right italian spelling of surname is DI IORIO
