If you take into the consideration the naming tradition of Italian people my great grandmothers fathers name could possibly be Frank Michele (or some other spelling var.). They say the first son is named after the fathers father and the second son should be named after the mothers father.
Re: Searching for anything on the last name BIVALACQUA
Short recap, we have Salvatore "Sam" Bevilaqua/Bivalaqua, birth April of 1889, married to Giovannina "Jenny" Michele, New Orleans in 1908. Jenny's birth date is cerca 1891.
Do you know of any other detail which may help us locate Jenny? Parents name unknown.....what about siblings? Are you certain she was born in Italy?
You may need to pull the actual marriage application from New Orleans for further clues, but meanwhile, we'll see what turns up on a search.

Re: Searching for anything on the last name BIVALACQUA
Bevelacqua is the Sicilian dialect and spelling. The correct Italian spelling is, yes, Bevil- to drink. However, there was no mistake in travel from Palermo with my family. We are Bevelacqua. Not to be confused- the name was changed from Bevilacqua years ago IN Sicily.
