Hi ~ If anyone is researching DeGenova or related names, my grandmother had this surname. I've done quite a bit of research and am connected to others researching this family and related families. Happy to assist with info. BTW, the following are proven to be the same family: DeGenova, de Genova, Di Genova, Di Genua, and other variations. It is not connected to Genoa. The family are primarily from Montella, Avellino, Campania. ~ Regards

Hi mls, my Di Genova lineage is from the town of Casacalenda in Molise. I've had much help on this forum over a number of years and have been able to go back into the mid 1600's.

Hi mls, all my research has been in Casacalenda. Have you come across any connections to the Molise region? My family were in Casacalenda in early 1600's but don't know where they came from before that. Would love to know that.

Hello to all,

Wondering if anyone has had any success obtaining information from the municipality of Casacalenda? I have requested information with no luck. Could the request be sent to Campobasso?

Thanks
