Thank you so much! So now I can get a copy of the marriage document! I don't understand...what is the year they got married? April 10,1907 why does Maria have April 16?
Best guess is that April 10th is the date.
Maria's record appears to be mistranscribed.
To order it, click on the bottom link to the New York City Archives.
The correct record # 12688 in Manhattan for April 1907
should get you the correct record.

I'm sorry, I have another problem if you wouldn't mind helping me. I am also looking for Venero Eugenio Sapienza and his wife Angelina Maisano's marriage document. When I went to the nearest Genealogy Library a woman was trying to help me locate this one and gave me the certificate number 409. have received it and Unfortunately it's NOT THEM! It must be a different Certificate number. I've been trying to look under Venero which is his real first name but here on other documents he used Eugene. I still can't locate this document!
Thank you so much. I am now looking at the Marriage Document that I received and my receipt and I put on the form June 7,1925 and the people on it are William G Gallagher and Anna Marie Carey from Brooklyn. #409!
Now this must mean they have 3 #409 records! 8O This is Not nice of them! How am I ever going to get the right one.
I know, I will call them tomorrow and solve it. I hope they will exchange the documents for me. You all are Lifesavers.
I called the Dept. of Records and the woman said to return the document and make sure I specify who I want, which I did. I also will be sending out for Maria's tomorrow. I can't wait to receive them. Thank you all for your help!
