Just a thought: The 1900 census records say Rosario imm in 1877 but the 1910 census says 1860. Could he have came here in 1860 and been naturalized in 1877? And also Mary's imm date on the 1910 census has a date I cannot make out but her obit says she was here for 61 yrs at death and she was 65 so she could have possibly came here around ?1857? (she died in 1918). I was just trying to figure out a way for the dates to add up, not sure if its correct.

You may have to find daughters Mary's (1868?) and Anna's (1872?) birth records in LA? to narrow down possible immigration years for Giovanna

Nina daughter must be Anna; Nina is the diminutive of Anna

Hello suanj :D
Neat manifest!

My best guess:
Brother in law Rosario D Miceli (corrected to Michelle)
235 French Market (Place) N O

Rosario was at 808 Frenchmen Street in 1910 - same neighborhood

So do you think it possible that Salvadore and Rosario are from the same place? And it doesnt say that Sal traveled with his wife or was married. Could he have left her in Italy when he came? Just trying to see how they were brother in laws.

I was searchng on ancestry.com (im not a member) I found what could possibly be a manifest for Anna Michel for 12/1/1866 and a 1930 cenus. I also may have ound census records for both mary and August. I also noticed the searches usually pulled up a member's family tree with the same relatives as I was looking for. im not sure if anyone who is subscribed to the website can help but it would be greatly appreciated. I dont know if the links will bring you to the same searches I found but Ill try to post them anyways.

Hi Bivalacqua the links no working..
I cannot find the 1880 census abt your Rosario .. now, because by obits and WWI draft registration cards seeming that all Rosario children was born in Louisiana, and if so Rosario and Maria was resident in Louisiana almost from 1871/2 (first daughter Mary born abt 1872), but because I cannot find the birth records .. I cannot understand why the family appearing not in 1880 census....
The Miciottos* coming from Cefalù town and I suspect that also your ancestors coming from this town or surrounding area....
