Oh my! thank you suanj :D - you broke the code!
MJ, they may be on ancestry, but there usually
isn't much information on the earlier ones ...
Finding Gabriele's naturalization paperwork
may help, but before 1906 the information
wasn't very regulated.
Perhaps one of the children's birth certificates may
give the town or origin or Mary's maiden name?
Note: no birth location on these WWI Cards

rectob wrote:Again...thanks for your help everyone. Not much is know of our family back then. I beleive there were issues with my great granddad and his children and not much was spoken of it growing up.

Confirmed so far:
Franco Faraldo is the known name. Have now confirmed he changed it to Frank Faraldo (or Farald) Coach. Moved to Manitoba. His wife was Katherine or Katie. She was Irish. Last name Rafter I beleive. This is all I have for sure. I don't speak italian so that makes it a bit harder to search...lol.

I think in 1920 according to some records, he was 31 and his wife was 28. That puts his date of birth around 1889.

Again...any help you give is appreciated.
well rectob, the wife katie, katherine or kathleen match, and also the nationality, as also the Frank age... ok for Hilda also... I believe that the trace is right... the problem is to find the italian place of parents.... regards, suanj

suanj, those are terrific :D !

St Joseph's does look like the right place.
I'm not sure how this works ...
an example - my grandfather has a headstone
in one cemetery, but he and my grandmother
were buried elsewhere
.
Would it be possible for Gabriele & Maria to have
headstones in 2 different cemeteries?
Maybe St Mary's is more of a memorial since it has no
date of death?

It appears this was a very large family.
I couldn't find any of the possible brother's WWII
cards. I was trying to find the correct town for
the 1880 census.

Church records for the children that were born in
the US may also help. It would be nice if we could
find the location in 1880.

Thanks! Valarie

you right abt the cemetery, but in any case is strange... the same persons in two differents cemetery...(...) but also it is possible that Michael moved the graves in Paris; Oneida, NY..... however it is necessary to find WWI draft registration card of Michael Faraldo... only so we can find the birthplace... I'm convinced that this is right family....

I hadn't thought of that, especially if
Michael was the oldset son, he may have
moved them.
I haven't counted all the children.
If Michael was born before Sep in 1872
he may not have another draft card?
Maybe another son?

It looks as though Michael's wife died in 1910 and sister Nellie moved in to help raise children. One son is named Gabriel (for his grandfather?)

Gabriele Faraldo Family?

Interesting 1880 census
Town is Cassville - same town as Frank Coach’s WWI Card
Parents & 1st son born in Naples (could be the town or the province)
Information for wife Mary & sons Michele & William would match
what we've found previously.
The 3rd son, Johnny, may be one of the 5 children who died by the
1900 census. Possibly the John b 1898 was named for him?
Would the name Gabriele sound like Robert to a census
taker?

1880 census
Home in 1880:
Village of Cassville
Paris, Oneida, NY
Robert? Farell/Farrald? 29 (abt 1851) Naples
Wife Mary 29 (abt 1851) Naples
Son Mike 8 (abt 1872) Naples
Son Willie 1 (abt 1879) NY
Son Johnny 1 mos (Apr-May 1880) NY
