More information has come to light....Marianna Pinto was married in the U.S. to a Spinelli....I found this Death Record for a child from 1910 named Teresa Spinelli which list her parents as Carmine Spinelli and Marianna Pinto (Spinelli)....I think this might be the right Marianna .

I came across this which I think could be the right Marianna , but i am not sure given my limited access to records....If you notice the record list both a Vincenso and a Gennaro , but I don't know who they are or how they fit in .

Yes , my friend originally said that her Grandmother's maiden name was Tomasco , but I found her Great Grandfather listed as Louis Lomasco on a 1930 census record , so I thought maybe she had forgotten the maternal last name .

Ok , until the 1960s , Molise was part of the region of Abruzzo , at that time it was designated as a separate region , I am guessing that you mean Abruzzo , when you say brusace .
