There are actually two registers for Ischia in that year, you might want to take a look yourself:

Re: Antichi mestieri - "Misuratore"...?

Re: Many Ancestry.com hints are pure garbage - Be very careful

one thing I'd like to filter out are the "wife of the husband of the cousin of the baker's postman's son" relations... seriously, who cares about such distant (if at all) relations?!? :)

http://www.onegreatfamily.com/
Just came across this link as one of the adverts on this website, but before I start any trials, I'd like to know your experience of it.

Aside from FS and Ancestry, I have so far used MyHeritage in free trial, and found a whole lot of information there that people ...

Re: help with interpreting name/surname

Hello again, after reading about the bleed-through, I thought I'd check the following record:
https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12657/an_ua285103/5x4PM7o

And, exactly where theere is the alleged tail of the G in the first record, there's a thick L from "Leone" in this second record. The ...

Re: help with interpreting name/surname

Thank you all for the engagement on this record... :)
To keep everyone's views on this, while we don't have any other document to go by, I have added both surnames to this person's profile in FS:

Buona serata, e grazie ancora di tutto.

Maldarella ...

Re: interpretation of surname

... on second thought, it could be CASULA, this seems to be a rare surname, but there are people in the Taranto area with that surname even today:

Any further thoughts, you know where to find me :)
