Re: Documents for citizenship

I have a "marriage booklet" that my mom gave me so I have the correct names and date, it's just that if I want it delivered in a secure way (UPS) then I have to pay an additional $19+ for shipping.

Re: Documents for citizenship

Tina If you are applying for the marriage certificate in Michigan, the website is: www.michigan.gov/vitalrecords That will give you all the information you need for Michigan birth, marriage, and death certificates. If you get a certified copy of the marriage certificate you will not have to forfeit...

Re: Documents for citizenship

Also, I have my parents original document that they were sent from Michigan when they got married. Will I have to forfeit that document in the process of dual citizenship?

Thanks,

Documents for citizenship

I have (I think) the necessary documents for dual citizenship but in talking to another member I need certified copies. The records I have have a stamp stating "for genealogical purposes only". Is that good enough to apply for citizenship? I still need to get some of them translated. Thank...

Re: Massachusetts Vital Records 1841-1910

Jim,

I have found a passenger list from when my grandmother came back to the US in 1924. The name on the manifest was Errichetta Liberata. Could you look in the Massachusetts Vital records about 1908 for a birth? I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Tina

Re: Massachusetts Vital Records 1841-1910

Nuccia,

I have the marriage certificate for their marriage and that is where the name Rachel comes in. I have the year of her death but not the month or day. The problem that I am having is what her last name was when she checked herself into the medical facility.

Thanks,

Tina

Re: Massachusetts Vital Records 1841-1910

Thanks. I have the census for 1930 but not for 1920. I would appreciate that. I am going to go to the FHC to see if I can find birth certificates from 1908 in Calabria.

Thanks for all your help!

Re: Massachusetts Vital Records 1841-1910

Nuccia,

Thanks for the info on my grandfather. I already had that but I think he was going to see/stay with a sister. I would be interested in that info.

Thanks.

Re: Obtaining a court order

I would be applying in the state of Illinois, I think probably in Cook County because that is where the facility has the records from the original facility that my grandmother was in.

Re: Massachusetts Vital Records 1841-1910

for the interest, but I have a manifest from 1921 showing my grandfather came to the US on a ship from Naples, Italy to Boston, but his final destination was Chicago. He was listed on the manifest as Carmelo but then he got to Chicago (sometime) he changed his name to Carlo because I have his Natura...

Re: Massachusetts Vital Records 1841-1910

Jim, I was going over some of your eariler posts and I saw that you also belong to Ancestry.org. Could you check International (Italy) for a Liberato, Liberati, or Liberatore. Since there was nothing in Massachusetts maybe she was actually born in Italy, the northern part. It would be greatly apprec...

Obtaining a court order

Does anyone know how I would go about obtaining a court order to release the medical records for my grandmother. I am still in the process of trying to find out what her maiden name was but I was just wondering what the process would be just in case I need that in the furture.

Thank you,

Jim,

I just saw something on another site, how about Liberatore, in 1908?

Thanks,
