Re: Please help
I have some familiarity with Molfetta and the only common last names (from Molfetta) that resemble "Mozzuto" would be:
Mazzocca, Mazzola, Mezzena or Mezzina...
And most Molfettesi immigrants settled in North Jersey after WWII not in Ohio, although of course there is always the possibility... thats ...

Re: Ettore Pirozzi
thanks for finding this for me...
I have a naturalization record for an Ettore Pirozzi that states he lived in the U.S. uninterrupted for 11 years from 1879 to 1900 (obviously those dates are erroneously listed since it tallies up to more than 11 years)
i wonder if your 1884 Ettore is the same one..

possibly aboard the "burgundia"

Mauro

On Francesco Visaggio's birth record, you will find information about his parents,... their age, occupation, where they lived etc..
thanks ...

You may not need to hire anyone...
Are you looking for naturalization papers?
What town/county are you researching in?

Re: How do you feel about the show "Jersey Shore"?
I have the thick NJ Jersey accent (that's what people tell me) and when iv'e been to other parts of the country, i often get "sopranos" comments thrown at me. So i do believe that italian stereotypes hinder italian americans that try to advance in politics, the business world, etc...

Re: How do you feel about the show "Jersey Shore"?
I'm from Jersey and i found it a very stupid show. James is right, these people do exist, almost exactly like they are in the show but that doesn't mean we should showcase or applaud their behavior.
I believe that the show celebrates the lowest common denominator for all Italian-Americans. Very ...

Re: Molfetta Roots
Hi Damian,
Most of my family stems from Molfetta and i've been able to trace some of my family lines into the 1700s.
I've done most of my research by using the microfilm from the LDS family history library. I have several films from Molfetta on permanent loan, so I can look something up for if ...

Would the FHC you're working at allow you to copy or transcribe an entire set of records? What is the proper protocol for this type of project?
