Re: Searching for Italian Swiss Ancestors
HI, Have you ever tried to write the Locarno township? They have answered me a couple of times and they were really helpful. Also, a possibility could be the Ticino state archive and see if they have the passport requests.
Good luck,
Joel

Re: Corleto Perticara records before 1800
Hi I have reserched the records in Corleto Perticara in the past and the parish has records back to the 1600's, even if they are not always complete. Some records were damaged during WWII, but in general they are researchable. The priest would not help much with the research (he admitted he does not...

Re: New Member on this Site
It does not have much to do with the research, but I was the one digitizing those records in Falerna a few years ago for Ancestry and I am super happy someone is using them for the research!!!

Re: Talamini and Gregori Families from Vodo di Cadore
Hi I am doing some research in the area, and was able to find Giovanni Gregori's marriage act: Joannes Baptista Gregori (aka "dei Carli"), son of Joannis Maria and Magdalena Talamini, married on the 20th of February 1871 Lucia Zammichieli of Filippo of Bartholomeus and Bartholomea Gregori....

Re: Church records from Trento area
I just wanted to let people know that the research in the Trento and Bolzano area can also be done in the US using a FH Center. Then if you decide to pay some body to do your research it is fine.
I think many peolple that are new to this site do not know this possibility.

Re: Steps on obtaining microfilm from a Family History Cente
Hi I copied some parish archives for my researches and what I use is a sony digital camera with a stand and a remote control. I think it is the best cost/result solution. Some priests are really enthusiastic to have a copy of their archives while others are just not interested at all. Any way I foun...
