Re: Name Origins
Can anyone explain the implications of de of De in the surname. My family's last name is DeGiusti. I am having difficulty finding information prior to 1865 and wondered if perhaps the name could have been a variation of this form ie Giusti, Giustian, Giustio. Any help anyone may have is definately ...

Re: Ship records
Did he live and die in Argentina? I would try to get records in Argentina that might show where he was born before I attempt to get records from Italy. After all he was in Argentina much longer.
Or if he was in the USA for a long time, I would try to get his application for Social Security ...

Re: Places in Italy-need help
I had posted a query to your site a while back-surname was Busardo. I have recently come across documents online and I have been trying to decipher the handwriting. Is there place in Italy called Palarbo (or was that a typo for Palermo?)? I also have an address which looks like 32 Como Tuhory (with ...

There's a bunch of Taddeos from Brazil and Italy on the FamilySearch.org web site.
http://www.familysearch.org/
It's easy and free to register. Once there type in Taddeo and explore all the names, dates, and towns that come up. When you get to the lists make sure you scroll to the bottom, there ...

Re: Angelicola surname in Celenza, Foggia
Interesting how the spelling changes from Angelicol a to Angelicol o . I wonder, now, if the spelling is really Angelicolo or if it was just a typo. It is hard to tell but he appears to have signed the form like it as well. Maybe he didn't want to correct the person at the desk? Who knows. It would ...

Re: Italian Princess Info
The way I look at family stories that cannot be proved is that they are "legendary." And that's really neat and interesting because legends are very fascinating and mysterious.
