Re: basilio capuano roseto valfortore
Thank you once again. You have been so helpful. Basilio was my 4 times great grandfather and his father Saverio would have been 5 times great.

I can translate most of this. just stuck on the middle part where it says 24 December 1865 and then Nicola Fiscarella. I can see the date of death as being 29 march 1868 but what does dec. 24 1865 have to do with it? I can also read the family, his wife and parents ok. Anything else unusual here? Th...

Translation: marriage record
Could someone please help me translate the last paragraph on this marriage record? It says something about the husbands mother. Her name was Lucia D'ariano. I can't make out the handwriting and my Italian isn't that good. Thank you all so very much.

Re: sappiere as an occupation
Here is the birth certificate. It's Luigi Russo on the bottom of the page. His father's occupation is what I need. Also his mothers name but it is unreadable to me.

It looks like the occupation is sappiero or something similar. Handwriting is hard to decipher. Any idea?

Sabatino Stizza from Carovilli
I'm looking for parents, brothers and sisters of Sabatino Stizza, born around 1869 and died in 1891 on the shipwreck of the Utopia. I know his wife, Caterina and two of their children. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
