Vincenza is the feminine of Vincent. I don't know if there is really any American equivelent. Perhaps Vi.

Vincenza is shortened a lot to Enza. There really is no equivalent in English. Vincenzo, the male version, is often called Jimmy although it is formally Vincent. i don't know what the feminine version of Jimmy would be either. Sorry.

I don't think there's an equivalent, but my great grandfather used to call my great grandmother Jennie, and thats how she's listed on census records.

I have heard Cenza and Enza used often ... My great grand mother was listed as Venice on the 1910 Census!

Here is one more...Vincenza...Vincenzina...Zina (nickname).
In Italy they call my cousin ENZA. In the USA they call her ZINA.

I don't know why Vincent would be Jimmy but my grandfather was named Domenico and family and friends called him Tommy. Maybe the did it just to sound more american.

My great grandmother came from Italy with the name Vincenza, and was known as Jennie in America for the rest of her life.
