Re: Vince (Vinciguerra)
Okay folks, I have again hit a road block. I requested birth records of Carlo, Ambrogio, and Filomena from Bellona and have not heard any word (it has been four months). Is it possible that Bellona is not the right town? Any suggestions? Thank you.

Re: Cassone
I was looking over Andrea's ship manifest and the 1920's census of Girard. His age in the 1910 ship manifest is 32 and in the 1920's census he is 42. Approximately ten years. So, I am positive this is my GGGF. I just wish I could figure out my GGGM's maiden name.

Re: Cassone
Wow, thanks everyone. Just one more question though. I found what I think is Rose's father's ship manifest; however, I cannot understand the writing of my GGGM's maiden name. I assume it is Pauella? Now, this Andrea has to be my GGGF because he's going to Girard, OH and both names match that of Rose...

Re: Cassone
Today, I discovered that my GGM birth certificate is wrong. LMAO Go figure. So Andrew and Mary (on the death certificate) are her real parents. Would anyone be able to find information about them? Additionally, what would the original surname be? Thanks.

Re: Cassone
Hmm....what I still don't understand is the different names for the parents. On the death and 1920 census it says Andrew and Mary but yet on the birth it says Vincenzo and Philomena.

Re: Cassone
To be honest I am not sure. This is where it's puzzling to me. On the birth certificate, the parents are different from that of the death certificate. Yes, Carl (my GGF), signed off on my GGM's DC. I called the Girard vitals office and they said that is correct document and the only file they had (r...

Cassone
Well, I hit a road block and I am lost as to where to search. I ordered a copy of my GGM's birth certificate hoping I would find the original surname...but I didn't. It had the changed surname and plus an affidavit when it occurred. My GGM is Rose Mary Carson (born 01/27/1905). The original surname ...

Re: Relatives
go to www.paginebianche.it and put in surname in first line and town where they reside in second line and click CERCA if town is not known, put in province and if province is not known put in region. First names run in families so you might get lucky. =Peter= I did a search for Viglione (in Casalbo...

Re: Vince (Vinciguerra)
Wow, thanks everyone. I have a question regarding the surname. I noticed from the records you all discovered, the surname is misspelled few times, what is the correct spelling of the surname? Thanks.

Vince (Vinciguerra)
Hello all, I am having trouble finding information regarding my GGF Carl Vince and his parents due to name changes. Now, my family and I know Vince is not his original surname. We believe it was Vinciguerra (there could be misspellings with that too). Additionally, my GGF was born in 1895 and came o...

Re: Faster Results
Well, I have my GGF's naturalization record from my county's Clerk of Courts. My GGF naturalized on 11/5/1926 and my GF was born on 1/17/1926. Do I still qualify for dual-citizenship? 8O
