I'm not sure what records are held by the ICRC. From my research with the National Archives I understand that all records on Italian POWs were transferred to the Ministry of Defence in Italy. I think that you then need to apply for info from the MOD, proving kinship ...

In the meantime, I certainly think that you would be able to obtain relevant info from the electoral register for Standon Friars in Hertfordshire. Perhaps the names on the postcard (mrs Sager/ Hilda Williams??) would be listed at the address 3 Will Font Green. An ordnance survey map would be able to ...

Looking at the address on the postcard it seems to be Standon Friars , Hertfordshire. There is such a place. Have you tried looking on an ordnance survy map of the area in circa 1940? Did you manage to get any help from the Italian TV station? Ihave been searching for records of \italian POWs in the UK and have yet to obtain a list of names. My grandfather was a POW based in Lincolnshire.
