Re: Handwriting Help needed!!!!

I think it isn't Cimignano (it doesn't exist) but GIMIGNANO for San Gimignano, in Tuscany, province of Siena. And the other, might be RACCIANO, next to San Gimignano.

Re: Peres? or Perez?

Also I've found this explanation about the surname PERES: El popular apellido Peres , muchas veces escrito Perez, con la terminación idiomática española. Pero no es apellido de orígen español sino la palabra hebrea que designa los capítulos en que la Torah (los cinco libros de Moisés), se div...

What I can read is: "Al mio futuro cugino S.S.R. perché gli vadano auspici di buona fortuna con una felicissima (aurora carini?) il suo domani unito alla ragazza che tanto ama." Translation: "To my future cousin S.S.R. with my best wishes of happiness ... his next life with the girl ...

Re: Another 19th Century Cursive Deciphering Question

Dear Jeff,
it seems to be Scibilia. I've found that more than 5% of italians with this last name are living in province of Messina. Take a look at this site: http://cognome.alfemminile.com/w/cognom ... bilia.html
Good luck,
Maribor from Argentina

The only thing I know is that my great grandfather Giuseppe BORSELLI was born in Albugnano, province of Asti (former Alessandria), Piem...
