Re: Irish forum???
Thanks so much for responding and trying the Wayback machine. I will contact him and hopefully there is some backup somewhere.
I am such an idiot for just leaving it there and not copying the information immediately.
There are no words for how I feel. I am so disgusted with myself!

Re: How accurate are DNA tests?
This is such a great thread - thanks for all the conversation about this. I was just thinking yesterday about getting one.

Re: 1958 SHIP RECORDS
Hi MJ,
I'm sorry I don't have the answer to your question, but the one thing I do know is that Ellis Island closed in 1954 as an immigration point, so it definitely wasn't there.
I'm sure somebody else here will know the answer.
Good luck,
Cetta

Is there any online searchable database - or individual newspapers - that can be searched to look for an obit from 1978 on in the Bari area?
Thanks,

I'm not sure if this belongs in Handwriting or Surname but here goes:

He said there were 2 families that lived in Brooklyn right in the same neighborhood where he lived.

Ok - understood. I was wondering about that Providence and underneath it said R.Y. I was thinking R.I. for Rhode Island.
Also 149 Throop Avenue makes much more sense from what I know of the neighborhoods at the time. 407 7th Avenue I think was more of a "rich" neighborhood as it was near Prospect ...
