Genealogy is a hobby just like golf, painting, gardening etc and all hobbies have costs associated with them. Depending upon how far you take it, I don’t think the costs are any greater than with any other hobby. In the 30 years of pursing my “hobbyâ€

Did Antonio marry and die in Mexico? Perhaps you can obtain these records which may give his parent's names since you would need that information to confirm his place of birth in italy since you really do not have much information to go on at this point.

I think they could be referring to the town of San Gerardo Maiella's birth, which is Muro Lucano Potenza. Films for this town are available from the LDS. Also check out this web site http://murolucano.webs.com

It would be great if the LDS would film these notary records but I don't think that will happen any time soon. When I was at the Archives in Naples they told me that the LDS had started to film the notary records but it was such a massive job, they gave up! There are less notary records for Avellino ...

I do not have specifics on the Lardieri family for this time frame (1600s) in Teora but have seen the surname listed in the notario records. Research using these records would have to be done to obtain additional information. If the Lardieri family was originally from France, they came to Teora ...

The Lardieri surname ( with the first names Vincenzo, Antonio and Nicola)is found in the notario records of Teora from at least the early 1600s.
