I found out some more information on this name:
It was spelled Jonsen in Denmark
Svend had a brother named Seir, not a sister. He apparently was an Admiral in the Danish Navy. He possibly could have been married to an Ella and had a son named Berger. I still can't find much on him.

Johnny,
I do not have access to Ancestry.com. I do know that Jill King is one of my cousins. I can contact her and try to get the information. I did not know she had started a family tree.

Johnny,
The name may have changed, but my grandpa claims that his sisters in Denmark had the same spelling that we do. However, he is not very reliable anymore.

1899 is an approximation. My grandpa knew he was 65 when he died, and we know he died in 1964. This could be him Where did you find the WW1 Registration card?
Also, I remember his family was from 30 miles south of Copenhagen.

Re: Need help tracing a name back
From what I know, he was born Svend Henry Johnsen to parents living in Denmark in 1899. I was told he was born in New York while his parents were on vacation, but some in my family think he made that up to join the Army in World War 1. They say he came back to America as a merchant marine. He died ...

Johnny,
I checked the SS Death Index and I could not find him. Do you have any other suggestions for finding something about him?

Need help tracing a name back
I am trying to find out information about my great grandfather's parents. He was from Denmark, but my grandfather is pretty sure his mother was Italian. His name is Svend Henry Johnsen. When he came to America, he was called Sydney. According to my grandfather, he was born in New York while his ...

Re: Vincenzo Valenti
I can't locate any shipping manifest for Vincent in 1896. Honestly, I don't know where to look. Could anyone help find the boat he came in on. I think he was married in Sicily, so it most likely would have departed from there.

T,
I think Anthony's granddaughter, my great aunt Marie, was named after a Marie Fouccio. She thought it was Anthony's daughter, but isn't sure since she never met her. I think Marie is Angela's sister. Fauci is close to Fouccio, so I am pretty sure that is her. It makes sense that she was ...

T,
I am not familiar with LDS Family History Center. Is that online?
Also, we think Angela may have been married before. My aunt claims she was named after her father's sister, Marie Fouiccio. We know we have a Frank and Marie Fouiccio in our tree. It is possible that she could have had those ...

Re: Anthony Cantone
Angelina, or Angela's maiden name seems to be Fouiccio, so that is probably her. That could be her, but according to the ship manifest, she was 26 in 1893. This puts her born in 1867. I am new to this, so I am not sure if that 6 year age gap is significant, or if the records were incomplet.
