Can anyone puzzle out the name of the town given as the "place of birth" on this draft card for Nicola Vitale?

Re: Famoso Family Records - Check & Help, Please!

Thank you, Pippa. Can anyone make out the third word of Giovanni's birthplace, or explain the notation "son of the state"? Giovanni died in the US (NYC) and his death certificate contains parents names. While he was known to be a musician, he was not thought to be a foundling of unknown pa...

Re: Question About Italian Naming Patterns

Love that, Nick! In my family, we have that problem with Pietro/Peter. Growing up I knew Big Pete, Middle Pete, Little Pete, and Re-Pete. Re-Pete is almost 50 now...and no one has named a child Peter in our family in a long time. :)

Help with this Atti di Nascite, please?

I have the gist of this, but am very curious about the wording regarding the unnamed father. What exactly is the phrase used to describe him in the space after the mother's address on this form?

Re: Part 2_Atti di morte - Help

I have pulled the birth and marriage records for this Pietro Sausto, sent a message to the owner of that tree, and left a comment. Hopefully, someone will contact me and I can give this information. I'll keep you posted!

Thank you, again (and again and again!) for your help! :)

I will search out that family of Peter Sausto and provide them these records...and the next Sausto reunion might be BIGGER instead of smaller :)
