I finally have all my documents now i need an apostille and translation. which one is first? and does anyone know a good translation service to use in boston area?? thanks

Help with word Cantoniero?
Hello, on my GGrandfather's atti di Matrimonio it lists his occupation as "Cantoniero". And on his first childs Atti di nacita it says "Cantonicy". My search so far came up with a possible translation as "Roadman" ??? any help would be appreciative. Thanks

who's records are you looking for? some of the civil records for basilicata are on ancestry.. if you dont have an account i can look them up for you.

Thats good to know because i just got a letter from USCIS stating that it will be at least 120 days for them to process my request

The letter I have from the supreme judicial court lists a petition # and then certificate # "none". Then it reads date of admission : "not admitted due to death" this letter is signed and sealed by the head of archives at the supreme judicial court of Massachusetts

I just received a response from the state regarding my great grandfathers naturalization. Until this point i didn't even know he had applied. But sure enough they included a copy of the "Petition for naturalization" and a "declaration of intent" There was a lot of useful informat...
