Translation Assistance with Birth Record

Hi Everyone: I could use a little assistance with this birth record. I have been able to translate most of it, but I am not sure if the baby is male or female. I am thinking it is a male because (lo stresso e nato da) if it were female there would be a's instead of o's. Date of birth: November 25, 1...

Translation Assistance with Marriage Record-Insigna

Hi Everyone: I could use a little help with a translation of a marriage record. I am looking for the marriage record of Giuseppe Insigna and Preziosa Innuso of Mistretta, Messina, Italy. I think I found the correct record in the index for 1854 but not sure about the translation of the actual record....

Re: Mastrofino-Where in Italy Did they Come from?

Wow! Thank you so very much! So her name was Appollonia! I have seen her name differently in my research but never Appollonia.

Thanks again!

On this immigration record of his wife and children, the name of the town might be San Arcangelo. https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/7488/NYT715_2395-0087?pid=4017061125&backurl=http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?_phsrc%3DuhK293%26_phstart%3DsuccessSource%26usePUBJs%3Dtrue%26gss%3Dangs-c%2...

Mastrofino-Where in Italy Did they Come from?

Hi Everyone: I am researching my aunt's roots. Her name is Julia Mastrofino Visaggio. I found a little about her and her family. Her father, Francesco Mastrofino arrived in New York on November 18, 1902 and was detained because of his mother, Anna. They were going to 127 Mulberry St., NY. He was 23 ...

Re: Marriage Antonino Crifo and Carmela Giaimo

Thanks Tessa: This goes back so far that I can't seem to find any other records that I have researched that even mention her. Since I don't know who her parents were I can't even verify siblings. If that a common name for that area? Coincidently, I've been helping someone with his genealogy from Alc...

Italian Citizenship

Hi Everyone:

I am thinking of obtaining Italian citizenship. However, I don't know where to start. Can anyone direct me to a site that would give step by step instructions on the process?

Also, is there an online site to search naturalization records?

Thank you.

Re: Rosario Incognito - Birth Record

I just thought of something else. Please let me know if it mentions anything about the surnames that the priest might have given them (Rosario Incognito Codite and Santa Incognito Cicerone).

Re: Rosario Incognito - Birth Record

Hi everyone! I know that this is an old post of mine, but I started looking over some old research to see if I overlooked anything. I found a death record for a Santa Incognito and this record also documents Felica Bora, who is noted in their (Rosario and Santa) birth record. I believe this is proba...
