My great aunt stayed back in italy to take care of my GGGM in the hopes of coming to USA but never made it to USA. Seems to me I should be able to focus on the 1948 ruling through my GGM? get's confusing.

here is my situation
GGF born italy 1855, immigrated to USA 1887
GGM born italy 1864, immigrated to USA 1893
GGF naturalized 1904
GF born 1902 (before GGF naturalized)
mother born 1933
I thought I might have a case to challenge the 1948 ruling but it looks like I would be shut down due to 1912 ...

I am curious i am eligible, my great grandfather born in Italy 1854, married in italy and immigrated to the USA in 1884, he naturalized in 1904 and passed away in 1912, my maternal grandfather was born 1902, my mother born in 1930's, I am born 1965 , slim chance this would be eligible for ...

Sorry for my ramble. My great uncle Guiseppe Aita came to the USA from 1884 to 1869 to work the railroads in Omaha Nebraska, he returned to Udine Italy in 1869. I have actually located the grandson and great grandson of Guiseppe Aita, it was the great grandson who responded to my letter via email.

Thank you so much for your help. I think you may have found it. In 1924 my Great Grandmother (Maria Pittino) applied for a passport to go back and visit family, on the application she indicated Angelo's ship arrived March 28, 1887 from Le Havre but did not know the name of ship. Great work!

US passenger list
My great grandfather immigrated to the USA in 1887 (March 28th) I have not been able to locate him on any of the immigrant passenger ships. He departed from Le Havre.
