Hi, my name is Claudio Giorgi and I live in Italy, close to Rome.
During my research about my family (Giorgi from Valmontone) I crossed the Pontecorvo family. There are other topics in this forum about it. For example, check here:

Re: Pontecorvo from Valmontone
Today I found an interesting document. In 1807, a group of 120 Women, chosen among the most wealthy and exemplary in the town, started a "Company for Charity", with the aim of helping poor and ill people. They called themselves "Sisters of Charity".
Among them there was Marianna Monti, widow of ...

Re: Pontecorvo from Valmontone
Eh eh eh... among other things, actually the document describes how 25 liras were left at Vittorio Giorgi's house to buy his vote. But the men who left the money was wrong, because those 25 liras were intended for another Vittorio, Vittorio Balzoni. So neither the first nor the second voted for the ...

Re: Pontecorvo from Valmontone
Got it! Thanks to the vendor who sent me the full pages. There is the description of buying the votes with many many details and names. At least 4 of them are my relatives. No more news about Francesco Pontecorvo, however.

Re: Pontecorvo from Valmontone
Today on ebay I tried to buy a document. Unfortunately I was unsuccessful. Three people, Luigi Fiacchi, Francesco Pontecorvo (your grand grandfather, I believe) and Enrico Mariani, on 8th May 1908 wrote this long document (36 pages) to protest again rigged elections in Valmontone. It would have been ...

Re: Pontecorvo from Valmontone
The search continues, even if with very little time available.
Today I've found another grand grand grand...ma of yours, living in middle-end 1700. Her name was Petronilla (unknown family name), wife of Stefano Monti. Now your tree has 35 people in 10 generations, as far as I know.

Re: Need help reading Marriage Certificate
Hi Fernanda,
it's really nice to read your message and your enthusiasm. Really the same I had when I begun to search.
Unfortunately Paolo Giorgi (Paolo son of Giorgio Tessitori), which was my most ancient ancestor with my family name, is not the "father" of all Giorgis in the world, only the father ...

Re: Pontecorvo from Valmontone
The names in the grave are:
Ettore Piacentini, who lived 22 months, dead on 9th may 1938.
Diva Piacentini. She was also a child, but I did not shot well the picture, so her dates are not visible (I focused on Clelia Zianna and Francesco Pontecorvo).
However, since this grave is only a few steps away ...

Re: Pontecorvo from Valmontone
Happy for this.
In the cemetery there are other Pontecorvos' graves, but nobody is in the list I'm building. The picture close to Francesco Pontecorvo's dates is of a child whose surname is Ettore Piacentini.
Probably those Piacentinis are also your relatives, but till now I don't know the link.
