Re: Can I use original documentation for jure sanguinis?

The certificates will not be returned to you. For that reason, I suggest that you acquire new ones so the originals can be kept for historical value.

In any case, you may find it difficult to get an apostille for a very old certificate. The authority which checks the signature may not have older ...

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano

ANYwaaay, what I wanted to ask YOU is if for your big family, did the judge make an immediate decision or was it put through several reviews, etc?
The Judge made an immediate decision in both trials.

Cocco and Cook have similarities , I can see how that can happen and how the judge could see ...

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano

Thanks DRuss for the explanation.

What is your take on the status of my case. It says, "ATTESA ESITO UDIENZA PRIMA COMPARIZIONE (Art. 180)."

I'm still a little confused by it's meaning...
It means your first hearing has been held and the Judge has not yet submitted minutes or handed down a ...

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano

Thank you all for the responses. The wording was as DRuss stated. So my question then is, during that six months can you do anything regarding life events (for my kids, marriage, etc ) at your local consulate? Or Do I have to wait for the appeals period to be over to start that other paperwork ...

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano

Hello Everyone,

So I just went to the website and found what I believe is my court case and it says:
"State of issue: WAITING STORAGE MEASURES" and then it says under "List of the lines of historical", " 06/09/2015 - IN DECISION WITH CANCELLATION TERMS FOR Concluding."
I used google translate ...

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano

That is a great idea! I am wondering what other kinds of documentation issues people were faced with?

There were many in my family.

Try to get as much information as possible added to the certificate. If it lists your mother's age, try to have her birthdate added. That will help the judges ...

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano

Also try to ask the Register to annotate the certificate instead of changing the name. Sometimes they are able to add an alias ("also known as") line.

Re: Will Italy Leave the European Union?

I think the article is referring to Italy dropping the Euro currency (the Eurozone is the monetary union), not the wider European Union itself.

In any case, drastic change needs to be brought about before Italy becomes a province of Uganda. In my view, Italy needs a decade of hard right government ...

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano

Sorry, I didn't mean to write "it's nothing" in a negative way - the opposite! I meant it to encourage you.

Don't be discouraged by documentation issues. It may seem difficult now, but there is always a way. In the worst case, you may need to get a court order to have a certificate corrected or ...

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano

We are a very large group of 11 people and the result will ultimately affect 15 of my extended family members.
It's nothing. ;) My extended family had 26 participants in two trials, over 60 citizens if the minors and post-1948 branch are included.

We made a good donation to our Comune and I would ...

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano

For the translation - I paid 15 Euros per certificate, plus 10 Euros per apostille. So 25 total per certificate (they all must have an apostille attached). It is very cheap. If you translate the certificates in the US, you will need another apostille for the translator's signature and that alone ...

Re: Illegal Migrant Situation in Italy

First they need to destroy the smugglers' boats. Then they need to make arrangements with some nearby third-world countries to take the "refugees." According to the law of the sea, the Italian navy must help these "refugees" if they call SOS. But that doesn't mean they have to be brought to Italy ...

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano

Hello,

It's very interesting to hear about your case. I myself am pursuing a case under the 1948 rule. We had our initial hearing scheduled for the beginning of November 2014 ... but we have been told a second hearing is needed and this isnt until March 2016, so well over a year away! I was told ...

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano

The judge assigned to my case is Vittorio Contento. Does anyone have experience with him? What judge did you have in your case? How were they?
I can't say about Vittorio Contento, but in any case, there will be three judges working on your trial. In addition, they coordinate their work in each ...

Re: Female poses in photos

Even these days in Italy many people (men and women) make a gesture by pressing the index finger into the hollow of the cheek and turning the finger clockwise and back again. It means they approve of something, such as good food or a nice dress and can also convey a compliment to a host. In ...
