You are right, I'll look for Preti's in that list, thanks!

Re: Carlo Bazzurro-Carlo Preti, same person?

Yes, I was in contact with that person. He said his father originally transcribed whole parish books for genealogical purposes, and he (the son) now feeds them into the Familysearch database. He says there are tens of thousands of names. I don't think he would welcome questions of this sort, he just ...

Re: Maria Costa- did I find death record?

Thank you!!

I think this fits as Giuseppe DeMartini was born about 1830 (he was 36 when Giovanni was born, I think you or Tessa translated that for me before).
Beautful, now I have a name for Maria Costa's mother :)

Maria Costa- did I find death record?

Hi,

hope someone can tell me if I'm on the right track here.

I'll post the marriage record of Maria Costa's (Corta's?) son Giovanni Maria DeMartini. We know who he is. Maria's father's name is Angelo per this extract, her husband is Giuseppe Demartini, born about 1830. We don't have any other ...

Re: Carlo Bazzurro-Carlo Preti, same person?

Thank you for your help, PippoM.
We have the whole family line up to him and the name of his father and mother, that is not the issue :-)

The interesting issue here is that I found a Carlo Preti who is roughly the same age as my Carlo Bazurro who died on the same day. Since there is no exact birth ...

Carlo Bazzurro-Carlo Preti, same person?

This is a little bit of a mystery and sadly I only have user submitted information on part of this (very extensive information though, and as I was told directly transcribed from church books of the area for FamilySearch).

We have a Carlo Bazzurro in the family whose official death record states he ...

Re: Help translating birth record

Oh my, I'm really losing track of all the records I have. So I had ordered the petition for naturalization for Maria DeMartini's husband earlier, and it turns out the birth date mentioned for his wife (Maria DeMartini) matches exactly this birth record I found!
10 October 1890, like Marty said!

Oh, October 10th, thank you! Couldn't for the life of me make that out, haha.
This is neat since her sons name is Paul *Eugene* :)

Help translating birth record

Hi,

I think I found the birth record of our great-grandmother Maria (Mary) DeMartini in Lorsica. Her birth date was either 1891 or 1890, and I found her in October 1890.

Known name of the father Giovanni DeMartini, known name of the mother Rosa (Maria Rosa Giovanna) DeMartini, according to ...

Requesting birth records, Lorsica and Genoa (city)

Hello,

I would like to send an email request for a birth record of an ancestor, Giulia (Celeste) DeMartini. Ancestry records state she was born on 11 August 1897 in Genoa, Genova, Liguria. Her whole family on both sides comes from Lorsica, Genoa, and at least her oldest sibling (Maria) was born ...

Re: Looking for Monteverde family, Genoa

Just to wrap this topic up nicely, the response from Santo Stefano d'Aveto:

Buongiorno,
in riferimento alla Sua richiesta Le comunico che nel Registro di Nascita di questo Comune dell’anno 1881 non risulta nessun nominativo corrispondente a Monteverde Andrea figlio di Giacomo Monteverde e di Maria ...
