Anybody from near Portogruaro Venice?

I've just found out that my great-grandmother was born in Portogruaro. I'm told my family lived in a small comune/hamlet called Lifore. Has anyone heard of this? I can't find it online but I'd love to know more as it might help with finding more records, maybe even a burial site?

Thanks,

Ben

Death Certificates from 1950's

Hi everyone!

Have had a lot of success with my Italian family history, but there's one branch that is proving tricky...

Does anyone here know what information a death certificate from the 1950's would contain? Would it tell me where exactly that person was born?

My great-grandmother, Augusta ...

Luigi Stefani from Borgotoro/Borgo Val Di Taro

I'm looking for a birth record for Luigi, apparently he was born in Borgo Val Di Taro in 1889/1890. I've been told this is a region of Parma, but I can't seem to find the right 'archive' on the .antenati.san.beniculturali website.

Has it not been digitized? Or am I missing something?

Cheers,

Ben

Re: Conegliano Wine School 1920's

To find out more about what to find, you have to search in the Conegliano library or ask the school where to apply for books on the their history...

Conegliano Wine School 1920's

Attached is a picture of my great-grandfather, apparently he may have been involved with the School of Wine and Agriculture in Conegliano in the 1920's. Does anyone know anything about the school, or live in the area? I'd love to know more, plus find some more relatives etc!

Info on Italian Army during WW2

My Great-Uncle Lorenzo was a Lieutenant during WW2 and died fighting in Slovenia in 1943.

Attached are some telegrams that I'm sure make a lot of sense to someone who knows about these things!

I wondered where the best place to find out more about this particular campaign of WW2 would be. Can ...

Re: Oberti's in Conegliano, Veneto

Hi Erudita!

I'm not sure it would be him, because if you factor in the birth years of his children etc, my great-grandfather was more likely to have been born in the 1880's or 1890's.

As for the Conegliano records, I spent today trawling through them looking for any Oberti's. Didn't have much ...

Oberti's in Conegliano, Veneto

Hi Everyone.

I'm looking for any information about the Oberti family from Conegliano. My Great-Grandfather was Joseph Oberti, who was a professor. Here's an attached picture of his college!

Anyway, are there any Italian census records for the 1890's 1900's 1910's etc that could help?

Any help ...
